2018 STUDENT DESIGN SHOW IDENTITY

This Spring, the district-wide STUDENT DESIGN SHOW will return to the Kenosha Campus! (The last design show held on the Kenosha campus was in 2005). The RECEPTION and AWARDS will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2018, from 5:00 – 8:00pm in the Kenosha Campus Atrium.

This year’s identity was designed by Ms. Kristen Cajka. Kristen’s design was selected from a panel of Administrators and Administrative support personnel (at the end of January) from a pool of submissions from students in the Advanced course on both the Racine and Elkhorn Campuses.

It incorporates Kristen’s traditional watercolor interpretation of the Gateway Technical College mascot soaring upwards; the RED HAWK.

Congratulations Kristen!

NEW LOOK LABS on the RACINE CAMPUS!

The Racine Campus has undergone some major renovations over the summer term. When Students return for the fall term, they will notice a new set of labs for the program.
Campus Dean Ray Koukari shared this image of L202 (new right wall with new classroom next door) with the Graphics Team. Graphic Instructor offices will be just down the hall from where they used to be located.

Visitors from Morocco

Visitors from several different programs at our  Poly-tech exchange school in Morocco recently stopped in for a critique in Peter Pham’s Computer Illustration Class. Welcome to our guests and many happy memories and safe travels to you!

Gateway Graphic Comm provides even more options.

With many articulation agreements, Gateway Graphic Comm Students have more options than ever. Students can achieve their AA Degree and enter the world of work, or continue their education at a four-year institution (many of the agreements allow students to enter as junior-level students).
Some may additionally enter the world of work with an employer who may help them finance their BA/ BFA  (some larger local employers offer partial tuition reimbursement).

Make an appointment with a Counselor at Gateway to explore the vast number of articulation agreements on the books. UW-Parkside, Carthage College, Mount Mary College, Columbia College, and Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design are a few of the schools who have agreements with Gateway Technical College.
